Before I get into the full review...
Good Things Skincare is all about simple yet effective skincare, infused with natural ingredients that help the skin to look healthy, clear and radiant. In 2010, Good Things launched in Boots with their first range: The Super-fruits Collection. Now, it has expanded and released their newest ranges, The Manuka Honey and Argan Oil ranges.
The wonderful developer of the brand is Alice Hart-Davis who originally set out to create the range for young women and teenagers. She wanted the Skincare to be widely-available and to help keep young skin looking fresh and clear. The beauty-journalist and writer has won many awards and has written two beauty books for teenagers, each with one of her daughters.
The main thing that I love about these products, is that they are all super affordable and really natural too. Everything is under £10, and is free from Parabens, Sulphates, Mineral Oils and Animal-tested ingredients. The packaging is beautiful, I couldn't live without Good Things. I'm going to share some of my favorite products from all three of the ranges.
The Superfruits Range
The Superfruits Range
These products are the first products I ever tried from Good Things. I was looking to find something that would be a good friend to my skin. Because I am a teenager, I think finding a brand that works well with your skin is so important. I felt that first, finding a moisturiser within the range would be a good idea. I have heard before that using products in the same brand as each other are known to work better side-by-side. That's maybe why I'm so obsessed with it.
The Miracle Mattifier Moisturiser
What's so special about these products is that each one has different superfruits in them. The moisturiser has Blackcurrant and Goji-Berry in it which helps it to smell divine. The texture of it is quite thick, and it smoothed right over my skin. Another bonus is it sinks in really quickly and doesn't make my face feel sticky. What I found was that my face didn't get half as oily throughout the day as it would if I didn't use it. It worked really well with the an exfoliator I had from Good Things at the time and I don't know what I would do without it.
The Five-Minute Facial Mask
This green-clay mask contains Avocado and again, Goji-berry. I love the fact that this only takes five minutes, yet the result is so effective. I use this about once a week, or whenever I feel my skin is a little dull looking. Most masks that I have used before have never left my skin feeling as soft as this one does. Also, I feel as if my skin looks so much clearer if I take this off just before bed. I go to sleep and wake up the next morning with my skin feeling so fresh and clean. It dries really quickly, and comes off really quickly too. I use a hot, damp cloth to take it off and I really cannot find anything bad about this mask.
The Stay Clear Purifying Cleanser
I think this could be my favorite thing in the Supefruits range. The Mango and Blueberry in the cleanser smell quite strong, but I absolutely love it. I use this cleanser in the shower and I leave it on for around a minute. It is a clear gel consistency and you can really feel a difference when you wash it off. It clears away any access oil, impurities and makeup without stripping it of moisture. Although the brand is aimed at young skin, I would recommend this cleanser to anyone.
The Manuka Honey Range
The Manuka Honey Range
I next tried this range, which I think is absolutely brilliant. They all smell amazing, and do fantastic jobs.
The Manuka Honey Creamy Cleanser
When I bought this product, my initial thoughts were that it must lather up really nicely on your skin. However, I was completely wrong. The cleanser it fully cream-based, which I thought was a really good idea. Again, because I'm a teenager I think that having a gentle but effective cleanser is really helpful. Like the Superfruits range, all the products contain Natural Ingredients from the bee hive. This one has Royal Jelly and Beeswax. I feel as if it really replenishes my skin, and leaves it feeling really balanced. I use this as a part of my morning skincare and at the moment, its my go-to cleanser.
The Manuka Honey Daily Moisturiser
I honestly think I could as far to say that this could be my most favorite product from the whole of Good Things! The moisturiser is super light-weight, with Royal Jelly (again) and Bee Venom in it. This may sound scary, but the product is so natural and gentle, I have no worries. I just feel so glowy and healthy whenever I use this; which is usually every day. I can't get enough of it, and it also my favorite scented product too.
The Manuka Honey Radiance Face Mask
This is one of my newest additions, so I have only used it 4-5 times. However I really wanted to include it in my blogpost because I am so impressed with it! I'm not too keen on the smell, but it doesn't smell awful. I've seen a lot of Beeswax in this range, but White Clay is also included in the mask. I leave this on for 10 minutes, and usually take it off with a warm damp cloth. It gives my skin a good boost, and it is an all round really nice mask.
Good Things reminds us that if you are allergic to Bee or Wasp Stings, then the Manuka Honey range shouldn't be used by you.
The Argan Oil Range
The Argan Oil Range
Although I own three products from this range, I don't believe I can yet give this range a full review. I have had it for around 3 weeks now, and as much as I am enjoying it, I want to at least try the products out for a month and a bit. The other products I have been using for over 3 months, so I know exactly how I feel about those. However, I'm thinking of doing a whole separate blog post on these if I love them enough. I own the Argan Oil Time Rewind Day Cream, the Argan Oil Nourishing Cleansing Oil and the Argan Oil Moisture Boost Facial Serum. I was lucky enough to be sent these products, after I emailed the fabulous Alice, asking her a few questions on the brand. After using these products for a few weeks, I have seen good results. But if I was to do a full review, I would want it to be 100% precise and truthful.
As you have now probably noticed, I am utterly in love with Good Things and I cannot be thankful enough to Alice Hart-Davis for creating it. I believe it has really made a difference for my skin, and I would recommend it to anyone who is looking for a new Brand of Skincare to try.
